Brindle Boxers
If you’re interested in getting a Boxer and this is the first time for you, you will want to go about this methodically. This means finding out first and foremost all about Boxers. And one of the little nuggets of information that you will come across will be the different colors a Boxer comes in. For instance, you have fawn colored, red, white, and also brindle Boxers.
Of these colors there is no one particular favorite amongst Boxer owners, although brindle Boxers do seem to catch the eye of many people. It is also not uncommon to see white markings on the Boxers no matter what their particular color.
If you’ve ever had a Boxer before as a pet then you know exactly how feisty and playful they can be. You also know what great pets they make and you won’t be scared off by their apparent ferociousness.
As mentioned earlier Boxers come in a variety of shades from red to white to fawn, and as mentioned brindle Boxers seem to be slightly further ahead in the popularity stakes than the other colors. But this has nothing whatsoever to do with a Boxer’s temperament so if you were under the mistaken impression that it does, you can get that idea out of your head immediately.
Boxer’s are also a friendly sort of dog and if trained at early age to interact with other pets and animals, will be able to live in comparative harmony with them. A Boxer also makes a great family dog for a number of reasons, the main one being because they are playful and affectionate, as well as being loyal.
Boxer’s are also highly intelligent and more trainable than most other dogs. They have a quick intelligence that allows them to learn easily and be trained, although they can get into mischief if they feel the need to do so. Boxer’s are also used as competitive dogs, not necessarily as show dogs but in the obedience category.
It should also be noted that although brindle Boxers as well as fawn and red Boxers can be registered freely in Kennel Clubs, some clubs don’t accept white Boxers on their lists.
If you want to list your Boxer in a kennel club, then you will do well to get a fawn, red or brindle Boxers instead of white Boxers. You might also be interested to know that Boxers were named so because they tend to use their front paws in a manner reminiscent of, that’s right, human boxers.
